Once a Cheat, Always a Cheat

Have you guys ever forgotten you had something and when you found it you realized how cool you were or that you have some pretty amazing things? I hope so, because its a great feeling. Ha. I just found a really cool belt that i had forgotten I purchased a couple years back in California and it is quite the piece! It made my heart swell up and explode with good feelings. Yep.
Anywho, Im going to cheat a little bit on this posting, along with probably the next few. We just started up our little etsy store and took a ton of pictures. Because I am limited to what I can upload to etsy, I am going to post a few more here, an outfit a day. Karina, Nancy, and I went out to the outskirts of town and asked some folks to use their pretty scenery for some photos. They happily obliged! These shots, however, were on the side of the road beside the gym and the high school. Pretty nice, eh? Hope you enjoy.
P.S. This lovely dress is for sale here for only $75 bucks! Don't judge. There are folks that sell their stuff for a ton more. We have some deals going! Check it!
Wow yall! We made the "no sale shops worth menioning" on etsy! In other words, we have a cool new shop! N Free advertising!! Click n See!

As Promised...More Kings of Leon + Tonites Cadillac Sky

Buenas noches todos! It is a late posting today - 1:08 AM to be exact. But I downloaded all the KoL Pictures (courtesy of Angie Castille - the girl standing next to me at the show) and then a couple from tonites show in Arlington. Im wearing my glasses because somehow I lost one of my contacts after the KoL show. Ya, I know...it can only happen to me. Odd. Cadillac Sky played tonite. They are a banjo-playing, blue grass singin bunch of youngsters from the area. They really put on a show - comedy included - for the crowd. It was very enjoyable. It was Sebastiens first concert and nite at a bar. Heh. But, it was a family affair. Lots of other kids were there as well. A few friends showed up later in the nite, which I do appreciate! Anywho, enjoy the photos below!

So the afternoon started early....I was going to get right up front, no doubt so we (Rad Pants Nance and I) got to the SuperPages Center super early at around 5:30. Unfortunately, we had to kill time - about 3o minutes because they were not letting anybody in until 6. We sat around in the car taking goofy pictures of ourselves. Ya, I know. Super vain. Anywho, we got in and sat for another 1.5 hrs at the venue for the first band to start.
Man, this show was soo so great. We were up so close to the point that we were able to make eye contact with the folks on stage. It was pretty freakin cool. I think Jared Folowill wanted me to be his girlfriend. Haha. Ahem....Yeahhhhh. Moving on....The show included The Whigs, Black Keys, and Kings of Leon of course. I was able to take decent pictures of The Whigs (the first act and not exactly my cup of tea - they were very classic rock to me. I dont know??). But as soon as Black Keys were about to come on, my camera battery died. Ughhh. Very frustrating. So all the rest of the pictures I'll be posting will be iPhone pictures. The girl next to me was sweet enough to offer her pictures to me. I should have access to those tomorrow. I'll post a few tomorrow pm. Hers were pretty amazing.
The Whigs - Like I said before, not my cup-o-tea. We all have different tastes, however you might love them. They are harder rock than I prefer.

The Black Keys were amazazazing. Made ya wanna shake your hips - this band was very up-beat but blue-sy too. I loved them so!

And now on to Kings of Leon! I have a ton of these...all awful unfortunately. Caleb was in a good mood - maybe because his momma was there to watch and because he had had a couple of shots. He kept smiling at his brothers. He looks like a little boy. So sweet. Nathan was cool on the drums/ back up vocals. Matthew was being a goofball. He was, what appeared like, playing his guitar with his mouth for a while. Trying to impress mama, I guess. And he had a cigarrette (bad for ya kids) on the side of his mouth for a good while. I tried to take a picture. His bro, Jared, on the other had, was hot hot hot! I was just talking to my sister about this subject the other day. Usually, it is shoes and clothes that I find amazingly beautiful, like woah! This fella, however, took my freakin breath away. Its like, WOW! Piercing blue eyes, tall, dark, n handsome. MMMMM. Anwho, ha, I was able to snag one of the set lists. Yeahhh! And our tickets allowed us 2 free drinks per. These were going for $8 and $12 dollars. Ridunculous. So that was a plus!

I got this lovely dress yesterday in the mail. Wore it right away of course. My day was quite boring. Went to work. Had lunch at the Spiral Diner with my lovely sisters, Karina and Elisa. Came home and will go to my church meeting shortly. We must do a large portion of Sebastien's homework tonite since I'll be coming home late Thursday. I am having lunch with him Friday to make up for my absence. He is such a dollface.
Anyway, I found the two photos below on random sites. Im getting some rad leopard pants like these in shiny spandex. I found some velvety ones - high waisted with a zipper that I altered to get super skinny from the thrift store, but Im just instantly attracted to the ones below. Ebay maybe? And then I found this freakin fantastic dress on people.com. Alexis Bledel is so gorgeous, but the dress makes her. Im going to replicate this puppy. I need to find some fab fabric though. G'day mates! I had yet another wonderful weekend and have a short week ahead, so once again I am in a blissfully happy mood. The cable in my room is down for some reason and Id rather lounge in here than in the living or, gosh forbid, in my brother's room. (Lo u Davy). So it makes it alot easier to get online and blog. On to telling tales of the past weekend.
My sweet sis, Karina, let me know of some free concerts in Arlington featuring some pretty fantastic bands. Friday nights concert was of Telegraph Canyon. I had seen them with Built to Spill not too long ago and they blew me away. So I was more than happy to see them for free in Arlington. Me and Rad Pants Nance went to get our eyebrows threaded and then we headed straight to the awesome outdoor stage. It was a family affair...there were so many parents with their kids...moving their little hips to the music. There was delicious free yummy food and free wine. There was also a BYOB option and since the kid was spending time with his daddy this weekend, I went ahead a bought myself a can of brew-ski. The show was amazing. The weather was perfect and the setting was a thick grassy lawn packed with people enjoying this music. We sat on the concrete benches lining the outer edge of the grass. We swayed our heads with the music and smiled big as they played (it was probably the alcohol hitting me). It was truly spectacular. Im taking Sebastien with me next Saturday to watch Cadillac Sky, another great band. I bought Telegraph Canyon's record "The Tide and the Current" and got them all to sign it. They were so nice and truly appreciative of all who came. Afterwards, me and Nance sat in the car for a bit and sang along to Whiskeytown...I love doing that. Love it. Ha, weird, but some of my best memories are of sing-alongs in the car. We didnt want it to end so we went to the local hang out for about an hour and then headed home. We both had to wake up super early for work the next day.

Saturday nite was a good one too. It was super relaxing. I slept alot. Much needed (I get up at 4 everyday people!!!) and then I played my Telegraph Canyon record all nite long until about 1 am. I got online and because I self-banned myself from ebay, I got on etsy. Ha. I know, big difference. I found some treasure on there tho - Ive been obsessed with suede as of late. I feel the very hippie/ 70s vibe wanting to come out these days. Anywho, Its an addiction, but at least its not an expensive one. When I got tired, I turned the record player off and hit the sack.

Sunday, I woke up and had lunch with my sis, then headed to my church meeting. I cleaned up a bit - I cant stand messy surroundings - then packed up a bunch of stuff to take to Buffalo Exchange. I got a ton of money in credit and found yet more treasure, which Im sure I will be taking photos of soon. I found some really cute stuff for KoL and ACL. Then I picked up my sweetheart and we came home and hit the sack. He was worn out thank goodness!
OHHHH, I found some inspiration for a Kings of Leon concert outfit. Its hot, but it involves some tall chunky shoes. Im not sure how that will do in the pit. I plan on getting there super early to be up front so, which is better - practical flats or stylish clunkers? The stylish clunkers!!! Thanks PandorasBoxBlog.com!!! I'll do a revised - much more conservative version of hers. ha.
I've been wanting to sew lately and craft. I've decided to sew more dresses - one for my older sis and for me. I also found this rad purse I want to recreate. My version will be black suede with tons of cool feathers hanging. Hers looks more velvety. Within the next couple weeks I'll start on these I hope!
