Easy Morning Rebel

We finally took some pictures for our etsy store...unfortunately have not listed anything. Im hoping one of my sisters will learn how to do it. Its nearly impossible with my busy busy schedule. This short little caftan top/ dress will be up for sale very very soon. The cutest little kid was out carrying his guitar, we asked him to play some music for us and pose. He played the was very sweet. I wish Seb Seb would take some interest.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Illusions

G'day all! We got ourselves a 3 day weekend upon us and I am blissful as all get out, except one thing. The whole time I was in this get-up I thought I looked goooood. I was deceived and realized that as soon as I started editing these pictured. Aaaaach! Gahhhh, Id love a waistline!!!!!
By all means, it is not this killer skirt's fault. I bought this pretty thing from Free People and it may be the most beautiful skirt I have ever landed my big brown eyes on. Definitely a show-stopper with its uneven hem and ruffle to add a bit of pizzaz. I really wish I could wear it everyday. The cat chases after me when I wear it which I do not appreciate, but its wants it too.
Anyshmoo, have a wonderful weekend yall. I see you soon.

If You Don't Have Anything Nice To Say....

Geez, these pics made me realize something today...gave me a big way. Im hitting the gym tomorrow. Not lion. I won't say anything more.... On a positive note, I found this lovely scarf Im wearing as a belt at the local Ross store. I think its really pretty and Im loving southwestern prints right now, so it fit the bill. Oh, and the bad lighting in my room caused the quality of the pics to come out icky...I went outside to get a good pic of the scarf.
I gotta buy overpriced/ rent text books now, so I have to cut it short.

Memories Are Made of This

Today was the first day of class. I was super nervous, but turns out for no reason because it all turned out fine. There are about 260 people in class so I am but a wallflower, which I prefer amongst so many people. My professor is a sweet old fella that told us all about himself today and then showed us slides of different countries architecture. One of the pictures was of a fountain in Italy, I think. He said he and his wife danced in the fountain at 3 o'clock in the morning a long time ago and that it was absolutely wonderful. Sweet memories of love and architecture.

Anywho, this is what I wore to work and school today.

Caftan Colors

I found this caftan on eBay about a year ago- even posted about the find- and believe it or not, this is the first time I actually have ever worn it. The colors in this thing are so vibrant and captivated me right away. I have found a couple others, but where am I really going to wear these besides for pictures? For now, its colors just stand out against all the other articles of clothing on the hanging rack...

Anywho, much has changed since my last post. I moved in to my own apartment, which I love! I got to decorate and situate and that of course made me happy. I'll post on that later. Both me and my Seb Seb start school again very soon. Im nervous and I know Seb is nervous since he will be starting a new school. I hope he gets to go with at least a coupe of his old Arlington friends.

On another note, I had a somewhat disappointing situation occur today, which caused me to purchase couple pair of pricey dicey shoes. They are beauties so hopefully they aren't a regret later. We are all allowed to splurge every once in a blue moon right? Its been an eternity for me!!

Have a wonderful nite...time to hit the sack again.

*thanks to karina, btw, for forcing me to take these pictures.

Its about time for Inspiration

Hiya folks. Im sorry I have not posted in a good while. Not only have I been busy, but I lost my camera. Yeah, lost it at a music festival. Makes me sick...I have to sell a ton of my stuff in order to buy a other one. I have a pair of my Jeffrey Campbell Litas up for sale on ebay and Im probably going to sell my record player (the one I painted).

Let me tell you what all has been going on these past few weeks. I found out my schooling at UTA is going to be fully covered, which is amazing! I've had to take a couple of tests and passed them both, thank goodness! Now, I just need to finish registering and I'll be set. Im taking (3) online classes and (1) class at the actual campus. Im excited and a bit nervous. The school is huge! I'm also going to be moving to Arlington in a month as well! After Bonnaroo to be exact. I found a place that has been renovated on the inside that is huge. Perfect for me and the kid.

Anywho, below are some inspiration pictures. Most of them are from All their stuff is dreamy. I want it all. But so out of my budget as of late. There are a couple other pictures from some blogs I frequent and one from a really cool vintage seller on be inspired.

Midnight Music in the Moonlight

There are is this song lyric, by Abraham, a band from Louisiana, that is the sweetest thing. "Cozy up to a roaring fire, turn on the player with my favorite LP. Dance with my woman in the kitchen late into the night cuz thats the way things are supposed to be." I've been wanting to build a porch in my backyard for who knows how long so I can keep my door open on summer nights and lounge out there while playing my records and maybe dancing (with myself, ahem) to beautiful music at times. Isn't that just magical n dreamy?

This is what I wore to work today:

Navy Dress - Le Lis Blanc - Thrifted via Salvation Army
Tye Dye Navy Tank - Miley Cyrus for Max Azria via Wal Mart

Etsy Fav: Feather Heart Flower Trading Co

I just wanted to tell you folks about one of my most grandious finds on the 'ol etsy site. I recently purchased a really cute foxtail charm from this adorable lady and am in complete and total/ desperately/ sick to my stomach/ cant stop thinking about it/ don't know what to do with myself type of love with her stuff. Check it out and see for yourself. I bet you'll feel the same way too.
She sells all natural teas/ herbal stuff and handmade jewelry using leather/ turquoise n such. Another wonderful thing about this shop is she will custom make a piece for you, for instance, I liked her astrology sign necklace with the charms, but because I don't believe any of that psycho-bable, I asked if she could make the personalized name necklace and add some charms to it. How sweet, eh? She also sells some vintage. I found a very earthy dress on there that Im going to purchase on Wednesday, so don't you go trying to steal it from me!!!! I will not put a link to that one, but all others, just click on the picture and I'll link you to the item. Yous velcomes.

The pictured is the one I purchased. Im linking to the one she has listed. If you like the above, theres no harm in asking for a custom!

Im getting the chain length and maybe a crystal and leaf charm with the second personalized leather piece. Sweet sauce, hmmm?

Aren't these amazazaing? Great for music festivals n that sort of fare.

Easily one of my favorites. Im purchasing this piece too on Wednesday. Killaaaaa!

Is this not a beaut? Golly willikers, I want it.

Anywho, seems we will be having a photo shoot n posting some etsy stuff ourselves this weekend. Good times to be had. May be doing it as we speak! See you soon sweetie pie hunny buns.
